I've always been an advocate for animals. It wasn't until i started volunteering at a local animal shelter that focused specifically on helping "aggressive" breeds find homes. It was then that my passion in advocating for bully breeds really blossomed. I'm taken back every single time by this breed's ability to trust humans after the condition we find them in. From beaten, starved, fought abandoned or worse.. Their heart still remains full of love. The overwhelming sense of relief and gratitude they show when they finally feel safe from harm is unparalleled. Their willingness to forgive is astonishing. It is such a rewarding movement to be a part of. I will continue to fight everyday to change people's perspective on a breed so scrutinized and vilified in the media. I will always be the voice for the voiceless.
