Frida came into the rescue as a pregnant mom brought in off the streets. She was found years ago in a neighborhood, but only food and water were provided to her.... so she continued to have litters over and over again until she became a "problem" to them. She was brought in by the sheriff and we quickly got her care, but it was too late. Due to an infection as well as malnourishing living conditions, mama Frida lost all 8 babies within 12 hrs of coming to us.

She has now healed and is full of energy and life. She is great with children 8 and older, as well as other dogs who respect her personal space. Because she has street smarts, she doesn't like to share her food, toys, or bed. Therefore she will need an adopter who can provide her with a safe environment and everyone animal and human can respect those boundaries.

Frida is spayed, up to date on shots and microchipped. She is also crate trained, working on leash training, and she has shown no aggression towards children. If you feel all of these needs fit your lifestyle please fill out an application or send us an email to
